The Dangers of Sitting too Much

Now with so many people working from home and sitting at a desk all day, it’s more important than ever to get up move.

Humans are built to stand upright.  Our body functions more efficiently this way.

A sedentary lifestyle increases your risk for diabetes, heart disease and even cancer.

Most people have poor posture when they sit, leading to back problems.

Consistently sitting for long periods of time can weaken leg and butt muscles.

You burn less calories sitting, increasing the risk for weight gain.

How to Sit Less

Set a timer to get up and move for 5 minutes each hour.

Invest in a phone headset.  Talk and walk.

Get a standing desk.  

Take a walk on your lunch break.
