What is CBD?
There are two parts to the Cannabis plant.
- CBD (Cannabidiol)
- THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol)
CBD is one of the active compounds found in the Cannabis plant. The other compound THC, the more well-known side, due to its psychoactive properties, it’s the part that gives you that “high” feeling.
CBD is not psychoactive but has many of the same medical benefits as THC. This quality makes CBD an appealing option for those looking for the therapeutic benefits without the mind-altering effects of marijuana or that “stoned” feeling.
CBD oil is made by extracting the CBD from the cannabis plant and then diluting it in a carrier oil such as coconut or hemp seed oil.
If you are looking for a good quality CBD, here is the one I personally use. It is from a company called Penguin. Their hemp is grown in Oregon through sustainable farming practices. Each batch it made from a refined broad-spectrum extract that contains 0% THC. All product are free from pesticides and GMO’s. They even provide their third party testing lab results on their website, to show its purity. I love their mint flavored CBD, I drop it under my tongue, right before bed.
